This next event will be held in 2009 from 1st to 4th February in St Moritz, Switzerland.

The event is open to individuals up to a maximum of 25 riders. If you are interested in entering then please contact Natasha Newman at Matrix on 020 3206 7130 or Arabella Arbuthnott at Original Travel on 020 7978 7333.

Students bid for a place in the British squad

Following the Matrix Universities Skeleton Challenge in 2007 (see below), Matrix decided to take the sponsorship of the sport of bob skeleeton another step and put our three fastest students through a rigorous training programme with the goal of competing in the BBSKA national selection races in October.
Adam Pengilly, who represented Great Britain at the Torino 2006 Olympic Winter Games, has been coaching the students at the track at Bath University and providing them with rigorous exercise and nutrition regimes throughout the training period.
The students:
Kristian Brauten-Smith
Richard Luddington
Bethan Harris
Both Kristian and Richard went out to Cesana, Italy, in October to compete in the BBSKA national trials. Kristian rode very competively and has been invited to the Europe Cup races 08/09 as a member of the National Team and also to join the BBSKA development squad. Unfortunately Richard sustained an injury on his first run.
