Paul joined Matrix in November 2008 as joint head of the thirteen-strong Investment Funds team from Landsbanki Securities (formerly Teather & Greenwood). He joined Teather & Greenwood in 2001, since when the funds team emerged as a leading participant in the investment trust sector. Prior to Teather & Greenwood Paul worked at ING Barings from 1993, and moved with the ING Barings Country Funds team to SG in 1998. Paul, who began his career in the City as a solicitor with Lawrence Graham specialising in investment trusts, is a graduate of Cambridge University.

Jonathan joined Matrix in November 2008 from Landsbanki Securities. After qualifying as a chartered accountant Jonathan left Price Waterhouse in 1979 and spent four years in industry, followed by an MBA. He entered the City in 1984, initially with the London Stock Exchange and then with James Capel. He was at Greig from 1991 to 2001 specialising in both smaller companies and Investment Trusts and joined Teather & Greenwood in July 2001 to focus wholly on corporate finance for closed ended investment funds.

Robert joined Matrix in November 2008 from Landsbanki Securities. He joined Teather & Greenwood in October 2000 after qualifying with Ernst & Young in the investment management department of the financial services division. Robert has been involved in numerous plc transactions including hostile and recommended takeover bids and primary and secondary equity fundraisings, both in investment funds and smaller companies.

Phil joined Matrix in November 2008 as joint head of the thirteen-strong Investment Funds team from Landsbanki Securities (formerly Teather & Greenwood). He joined the Closed End Funds research team at ING Barings after graduating with an MA in International Economics and BA in Pure Economics in 1994. Phil joined the Bear Stearns Country Funds team in 1999, leaving in April 2001 to join Teather & Greenwood as senior salesman. He was promoted to Head of Sales in January 2004.

Simon joined Matrix in November 2008 from Landsbanki Securities. He joined Teather & Greenwood in 1998 to establish the investment funds business. Simon previously worked as an investment trust analyst at WestMerchant Bank and Panmure Gordon. Prior to this, he was a Sovereign Risk analyst at Dun & Bradstreet International. Simon has a degree in Economics and Geography.

Jonathan joined Matrix in November 2008 from Landsbanki Securities. He joined Teather & Greenwood in March 2006 and has over ten years’ experience of managing investment trust portfolio for private client and pension funds. Jonathan was previously an asset manager at Charles Stanley & Company on their investment trust desk and senior portfolio manager at Goy Harris Cartwright & Co where he managed their Active Managed OEIC. Jonathan has a degree in Economics and Business Economics.

David joined Matrix in November 2008 from Landsbanki Securities. He has over twenty years’ experience in the investment trust sector and joined the team at Landsbanki in August 2007. Prior to this he spent three years as a member of the investment funds team at Winterflood Securities where he specialised in split capital funds and closed-end structured products. David had a varied role which included sales and research responsibilities and he was also actively involved in corporate transactions.

Chris joined Matrix in November 2008 from Landsbanki Securities. He joined Teather & Greenwood in 1987 working as a Private Client assistant and latterly a Private Client Manager predominantly investing in Investment Funds. In 1998 Chris joined the newly formed Investment Funds team trading secondary business for corporate and institutional clients of Teather & Greenwood.

Paul joined Matrix in November 2008 from Landsbanki Securities. He joined Teather & Greenwood in September 2000 as part of the settlements department, gaining experience in various teams. Paul joined the Investment Funds team in July 2006 as a trader for Landsbanki’s institutional clients as well as a market maker for the team’s brokership stocks.

Charles joined Matrix in November 2008 from Landsbanki Securities. He joined Teather & Greenwood as part of the seven-strong Bear Stearns Country Funds team in May 2001, after six years at Bear Stearns. As a Country Funds analyst at Bear Stearns he was responsible for a wide range of research-related activities, including analysis of the impact of tax and regulation on closed end fund investment. At Teather & Greenwood Charles was responsible for the investment funds research product, publishing pioneering research pieces on a number of investment trusts and evolving the T&G FundGrades system. In addition he has become increasingly involved in corporate advisory work. Prior to joining Bear Stearns, Charles was an investment trust analyst at Olliff & Partners PLC. Charles has a degree in Economics.

Samir joined Matrix in November 2008 from Landsbanki Securities. He began his analytical career with Credit Suisse covering the Financials sector before moving to Teather & Greenwood where he switched focus to cover Investment Funds. Samir is an Extel and Institutional Investor ranked analyst. He is also a qualified Chartered Accountant and CFA charterholder which were gained whilst working in the Financial Audit division of KPMG.

Joe joined Matrix in November 2008 from Landsbanki Securities. He joined Teather & Greenwood in September 2006 as part of the graduate recruitment scheme, working in various departments throughout the bank, including Investment Funds. He subsequently joined the team on a permanent basis as an Assistant Analyst in September 2007. Joe has a degree in Economics from the University of Reading.

David joined Matrix in December 2008 as part of the Investment Funds team from Landsbanki. He is responsible for I.T. projects; developing, maintaining and supporting the Investment Funds database. He joined the Landsbanki Investment Funds Team in 2001 from Bear Stearns. He has also worked with fund teams at HSBC Asset Management and Santander. David's qualifications include - MCAD (Microsoft Certified Application Developer) and a BSc (Hons) in Computing Science.
