David Royds co-founded Matrix-Securities Limited in 1987. Prior to that he worked at Laing and Cruickshank and the Financial Times. Non executive posts now include three VCTs, as well as several companies involved in property development, shipping and film finance.

Rupert, a chartered accountant, co-founded Matrix-Securities in 1987 and has since been instrumental in the development of the business. After qualifying with Robson Rhodes in 1983, he moved into venture capital and corporate finance. He has also been involved in the founding and/or development of a number of other businesses and has particular experience in the health and energy sectors.

Chris joined Matrix in June 2007 as Group Development Director and was made CEO in November 2007. Before joining Matrix he was CEO of Whitehead Mann Group Plc, the publicly listed executive recruitment firm, which was taken private by an MBI team in late 2006. Prior to that he was Finance Director of Clifford Chance LLP, the global law firm. Chris began his career with Coopers & Lybrand where he became a partner in the audit practice in 1994. He spent 2 years in New York in the late 1980s and was based in China from 1994 to 1997 as Managing Partner of Coopers & Lybrand’s Shanghai office.

David qualified as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand in London in 1978. After working in the USA for two years he began a career in London in banking and financial services. He became finance director of Leopold Joseph, a quoted private bank, in 1991 where he was responsible for finance, tax and IT. He moved to Matrix in July 2001 and oversees the group's finances and operations.

Philip has worked in financial services for the past 10 years. Prior to becoming Matrix Group’s Compliance Director he was the Managing Director of an IFA business. He has been responsible for the regulatory applications for four of the five regulated businesses and subsequently all their FSA compliance.

Bridget is a director of Matrix Group Limited and of its subsidiary Matrix-Securities Limited, and Managing Director of Matrix Money Management. Prior to joining Matrix, Bridget accumulated 16 years' of retail investment fund experience at Schroder Unit Trusts Limited, Ivory & Sime and County NatWest. Bridget sits on the Board of Matrix Alternative Investment Strategies Fund Limited, an open ended fund of hedge funds and Matrix Structured Products Limited, a closed ended fund in Bermuda.

John Hardy is the Managing Director of Matrix Structured Finance. He spent the first 20 years of his career as a financier and producer of feature films, then going on to become Head of Media at Durlacher Ltd the specialist investment bank, where he was responsible for leading 12 IPOs and raising over £100 million in equity. Since joining Matrix in 2001 he has been responsible for $2 billion of film sale and leaseback transactions and more recent leveraged commercial investment opportunities in Vaccine Research and Vehicle financing.

Donald Mackinnon has been with Matrix since 1993, becoming Sales Director in 1996. He has been responsible for much of the sales success of Matrix's principal products over the last 10 years, developing VCT, EIS and Film Sale and Leaseback from niche products to mainstream tax-efficient investment solutions.

Rob is a Director of the Matrix Group Limited and is the Managing Member of MPFM. Rob joined Matrix in 1996 and has been responsible for developing the Matrix business in structuring, syndicating and managing commercial property investments. Prior to joining Matrix, Rob has had 10 years experience in the property finance industry, in particular concentrating on Enterprise Zone Investments.

Ken merged his company with Matrix Securities to form Matrix Corporate Finance in 1998, becoming MCF's Managing Director. He has over 30 years' corporate finance experience, of which 18 years was spent with Baring Brothers in various locations including South Africa and Australia. Ken has overseen numerous transactions, advisory assignments and fundraisings, being involved in all the deals that MCF undertake.

Mark commenced his career in 1980 with MAI Plc. He joined GLE Development Capital in 1987 and became Managing Director in 1994. In 1997, he originated and founded a factoring and invoice discounting company, Independent Growth Finance, in which GLE Development Capital funds invested. In March 2004 he led the management team that acquired GLE Development Capital to form Matrix Private Equity Partners. He has 18 years’ experience of private equity investment.

Charles joined Matrix in May 2007. He was formerly CEO of Dexia Private Banking (UK) and Chairman of Ely Fund Managers Limited and has extensive experience of stock markets from the investors’ perspective. He also gained experience in Corporate Finance from his former roles with S G Warburg & Co Ltd and J S Gadd & Co Ltd (formerly C S Good). He was a founder non-executive director of Citigate (now Citigate Dewe Rogerson) and is currently Chairman of various unlisted and AIM listed companies.
