Hedge Funds

Introduction

Matrix Alternative Asset Management (MAAM)

Increasingly hedge funds are viewed as an important component of a diversified portfolio and are now well established as an asset class. Their aim is to produce positive absolute returns in any market environment and be uncorrelated to other asset classes.

Matrix Alternative Asset Management (MAAM), authorised and regulated by the FSA, is developing its own range of single manager hedge funds. All of the funds will be domiciled outside the UK, listed on the Irish Stock Exchange and therefore may be appropriate for a SIPP, expert or institutional investment. The minimum investment is $100,000.

MAAM will appoint experienced fund managers who have taken risk in many different market environments, have strategy specific expertise and are accustomed to operating within a sensible risk management framework.

The Matrix Europe Fund was launched in March 2005 followed by the Matrix New Europe Fund in December 2006.
